Though this time there is more to say about this plat-form game, which was written in 1992 by 2 brothers : Francisco Javier Serrano García (programmation) et Emilio Serrano García (graphics). It was meant to be edited by Zigurat to be finally canceled. It is now available due to ESP Soft (also available on CPC Power). Code has been modified by SyX, the cover is by Lopez ESPI.

Arquimedes XXI on Amstrad CPC 25 years later

-

In 1986 Dinamic Software published its second try text adventure game : Arquimedes XXI. It was also the the second comercial text adventure made in Spain after Yenght and, indeed, it was the first job of Jorge Blecua (Egroj) in this field, previous to other games as Don Quijote or Abracadabra. It was made in BASIC and Assembler as the comercial parsers didn't appeared yet. Arquimedes XXI is a Dinamic classic game only available for Spectrum and MSX, until now ! With the efforts of DevilMarkus, MiguelSky (for the adaptation on Amstrad CPC), PulkoMandy (french translation, main music conversion), voXfReaX (english translation), today you can enjoy this classic text adventure on your Amstrad CPC. It is available in French, English and Spanish as was Orion Prime before.

Edge grinder, a new multi-platform shoot them up game

-

Guess what, Axelay is working on a port of Edge Grinder (see below), so says one of my numerous spies, who assured me that it isnt a secretand safe to be announced.

Edge grinder is in fact a work in progress C64 game at the start, the first Format War "Collabortition" (a combination of collaboration andcompetition) with the plan being for programmers on other 8-bits to consider ways to convert it from the C64 to their platform of choice. So on the Format War web site you can download all you needto port the game, source code, map, background and sprite data.
