A few bugs crept in WinAPE, so there is a new version corrected with auto run feature and the addition of Auto Run, the ability to disassemble to a file or assembler tab.
After about 2 years, there is a new release of the WinAPE emulator by Richard Wilson. There are a lot of new features, including Symbiface emulation, AVI recording, V3 snapshot support, new help file.
CPC Game Reviews has 9 new reviews by Guillaume Chalard.
After CPCPSP, here is another Amstrad CPC emulator for : PSPCAP32 v1.0.7.
TobiFlex has released a new turbo core for the CPC TREX (Terasic T-REX C1 fpga board).
It includes a complete new Z80 implementation which is much smaller and more compatible than the previous OpenCore T80. If you switch the CPC TREX into Turbo Mode you will have a system with 24MHz power! This is really a little bit crazy fast.
The update also contains a new start-up system. The Starter-SymbOS is included directly in the flash file and doesn't need to be loaded with the 6502-based big boot from CF card any more. That means, booting the TREX is much faster now. The Starter-SymbOS is the "risc-version" of the brand new Release 1.0.
The first non beta release of SymbOS (the Amstrad CPC multitasking operating system) can be downloaded now.
Users of SymbOS Beta 3 will need to convert the old INI file (use APPINI.EXE on the symbos.dsk), as because of memory reorganisation the old INI files won't be accepted any more.
You can download the first preview of FutureOS system .8.
Click on the folder for system .8, please use the french version, at the moment it is the newest (that can change in the coming days.
The new features are for example support of the Real-Time-Clock and the PS/2 Mouse of the Symbiface. (Further the system has been rewritten in some parts, to make it lighter and get place for IDE support, which will be added in System .9).
The final system .8 will have initial Memory-Floppy support. Why ? Well, this is an advantage when you work with big programs and have a full Memory-Floppy for example ;-)
Further I hope to be able to kill some last bugs/problems. It will be released this year with the final version of Future-View-IV (which I'm still translating like an ape...)
System .9 (release 2007) will have FAT32 support.
A new version of CPCDiskXP is out, to transfer files to DSK and DSK to files.
